Terms of Service

1. The Service

FitTracker is a free fitness tracking web application that allows users to:

• Track body measurements and body composition
• Create and manage training plans
• Log workouts and track progression
• Log nutrition and calorie intake
• Use fitness calculators (body fat, calories, macros, FFMI)

The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future, with prior notice to existing users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent where required by your local law.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information during registration
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You may not create accounts for others without their consent, or create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Transmit any viruses, malware or other harmful code

5. Your Data

All fitness data you enter into the Service belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your data.

You can export your data at any time in JSON or CSV format via Account Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all data at any time via Account Settings → Delete Account.

6. Health Disclaimer

The Service is intended for informational and personal tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

• Calculators and metrics provided (body fat %, FFMI, calorie estimates) are approximations based on established formulas and are not diagnostic tools
• Training plans and nutrition data entered by users or trainers are not medical recommendations
• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fitness or nutrition programme, especially if you have a medical condition

We are not responsible for any injury, illness or health outcome resulting from use of information provided through the Service.

7. Trainer Functionality

The Service includes features that allow trainers to create and manage accounts for athletes ("managed athletes"). Trainers who use these features confirm that:

• They have obtained explicit consent from each athlete before creating an account on their behalf
• They will only use athlete data for legitimate training purposes
• They are responsible for the accuracy of data they enter for their athletes
• They will inform athletes of their rights under our Privacy Policy

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, upgrades or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:

• Any loss of data (we recommend using the export feature regularly as a backup)
• Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Service
• Service interruptions or technical failures

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice in cases of serious violations (e.g. attempted unauthorised access to other users' data).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by displaying a notice within the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
